Kid Fear

Kid Fear (alias of Lieven B.) is getting ready to release his first album and to promote this fantastic accomplishment, he is giving everyone an opportunity to listen to the songs. He created a couple of films with short outtakes of the album and will be sharing a new film every Monday until the release date of the record on October 1st. Check out the first one, The Carnival, below. You can listen to the full song on his MySpace page.

Go Lieven!

Doc

Liz. Doctor, blond and the loveliest girl ever. On top of that she is the queen of badminton. Will miss her.

Meneer T.

Antibodyman-1.drievier Yesterday, I went to see the graduation show of the Royal College of Arts. My very good friend Tuur finished his Master in Design Interactions and I really was excited to see his work. His project "My city = My body" looked at future biological interactions with the city. As he is much better at explaining the ideas behind the projects, check out more information on his site here.

I'm still quite proud that I could offer a tiny bit of help to the London Biotopes part of his work. Capco tap water has never been this valuable :-) But Antibodyman is my favorite! I want a costume like that for the next Halloween.

Congratulations Tuur, you have undoubtedly a bright and very interesting future ahead of you. I will miss you so much when I leave this city. But before that: Les Trois Garcons!

Also kuddos to Revital, Steve and Ivo; I'm so impressed with all of your creativity, brains and hard work.

Does Jennie fit?

She does. Both in Phil's Porsche and in Alex's Crossfire! Good stuff this weekend! That accent up north... wow...

Manchester

Today, I'm driving up to Manchester to celebrate Rachel's 30th birthday. The party is Sunday night in a hotel and we are staying in the same place for the night (convenient he). It will be good to see the Southampton university gang again. Most of them came to my fabulous decade party, but I didn't really get a chance to talk to them much as there were also about 70 other guests to entertain.
Then Tuesday, I'm off to New York again for some hardcore prep for the company's partner meeting. That will be in Miami the week after. I'm really really looking forward to that one. After the last partner meetings in London and Brussels, I have to say, I scored some good points with the partners to it move to a warmer climate. And the "team building" will definitely be less violent than previous years. No more paintball, shooting, archery etc, but a cool deep sea fishing trip on the ocean!

A good cause

I don't know about you, but I always try to give something to charities every year. I was fortunate to always have had a healthy life, a great family, no tragedies, no accidents, no unwelcome surprises (touching wood now). So I think it is only right to every now and then donate some money, time or something to people less fortunate.
One way to do this is by sponsoring people I know that are doing an amazing effort to raise money. Some run a marathon, others climb a mountain.
If you feel like you are also one lucky person and that you could spare something, here's a worthwhile cause. I'll copy paste my friend's email below. Feel free to have a look at the link. It would be great if he could join this walk.

"Hey...

Please support me as I take an amazing journey. The Out of the Darkness Overnight Experience is a 20-mile walk over the course of one night in NYC June 7-8. Net proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, education, and awareness programs – both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.

I've personally experienced this loss and shared the pain with friends and the families of those that have passed. I need to raise $1000 to participate in this walk which I've already donated a good portion of my own money. Appreciate your donation if you can help!! Just follow this link and you can use a credit card etc. Thanks so much! Means lots to me and my friends that have dealt with this epidemic.

Chocolate

Mr P. And Ms. E were here for the weekend. So my supply of chocolate is back up to a satisfactory level! And I have about 7 Humos and 5 Flairs to catch up on my Belgianism. Thanks for the company P&E, it's always a pleasure spending time with you. Give a big kiss to everyone that I know and that is worthy!
